He started on the DuMont Television Network, became a celebrated fixture on CBSTV, and later, a movie star. He starred in honored films such as, "Gigot" and "The Hustler". He also starred in "Smokey and the Bandit". Jackie Gleason is best remembered from TV, however, as bus driver Ralph Kramden in "The Honeymooners", which still ranks as one of TV’s greatest sitcoms.
